W4 MMR

2000
W4 MMR debuted at the tough Acropolis Rally, in Freddy Loix's and Sven Smeets' hands. The rally didn't go well at all, as they had to retire on the first stage, after the right rear hub shaft broke, and the wheel went on on its own. Similar happened to Mäkinen and some other Mitsubishi cars, pointing out definite part failure as reason.

The next rally was Cyprus, and they went well until the throttle struck, resulting in a roll and a broken driveshaft, so they had to go through the loop with only 2WD. After this bad luck, 2 stagewins and 8th overall was a bittersweet result.

Whereabouts
This car is one of the biggest questionmarks, since nothing happened to her on Cyprus, but hasn't been seen since that rally. Maybe that roll caused some structural damage, and since new cars were built, they just scrapped it. To be honest, I don't think it survived.

Update 2020:
In a promotional video package made for internal use, W4 appeared (alongside V22 MMR and recce cars S6 and V77 MMR) on what it seems like a test before or after the 2000 RAC Rally, with Mäkinen driving her.
