X6 MMR

2001
And finally, the very last works-built Group A Lancer Evo. Wow. Well, she had a short stint as a works car after debuting at the 2001 Rallye Monte Carlo, being driven by Mäkinen. After a big fight with Colin McRae, the crew was victorius, meaning Tommi's 3rd Monte win in a row.
In 2001, the Monte was more unpredictable than usual... (Mitsubishi)
She returned to action in Finland, again as Mäkinen's car. The pressure was high to carry home a good result. However, it just wasn't meant to be, as Tommi hit a treestump, which pulled the left-front wheel out. The rally was over on the first stage.

Whereabouts
I have no specific information about her whereabouts, but as she was used on the penultimate round of the Grp. A-era, she was surely sold to somewhere.

  1. I saw an Instagram post of Japanese racing cars and X6 MMR might be in the Toyota museum in Japan or is that a replica or show car?
